Scrubbing Bubbles Action Scrubber August 11, 2008

Who doesn’t love a product that makes your life a little bit easier? I know I do. So, when I was picked to try out the new Scrubbing Bubbles Action Scrubber though Bzz Agent, I was excited! I sort of felt silly, because I was actually kind of excited to clean my shower. Well, today I finally tried it out.

We recently moved into a house that has a shower stall in the master bathroom. The previous owners were NOT housekeepers! The shower floor was covered in pink and brown soap scum and had several brownish-black stains. The shower door seemed to be covered in eternal film, and the walls had that stubborn streaky look to them. Prior to using the shower, I cleaned it three times, using CLR, Comet, and Clorox Clean-up with Bleach. I was able to remove the pink and brown scum, but the film, streaky sides, and brownish stains remained….so did a lot of Comet residue I might add.

I was anxious to see what this new product could do. The handle is made of soft foam and attaches to a scrubbing pad that has Scrubbing Bubbles Cleaner built in. One pad is plenty to clean an entire shower. (I actually cleaned my bathroom sinks with the same pad as well.) It made quite a lot of suds, and the smell is actually quite pleasant. I personally cannot stand the smell of CLR, which is what I typically use to clean my shower, so this was a nice surprise. I was able to remove the film from my glass shower door, and the sides of my shower are literally sparkling. Any of our scum build-up was removed from the bottom of the shower. We didn’t have much, as I regularly clean our tubs and shower, however, I am confident I could have removed it. You are able to use a lot of elbow grease without really exerting yourself. I was a little disappointed that the brownish stains did not come out. I don’t know if I’ll ever find a way to remove other people’s stains, that probably wouldn’t have happened had they had this product in their lives.

Needless to say, I will be using this product again, and am anxious to go try it out on my children’s tub. This made a not so fun job, not too bad. If you’d like to check out the product website, you can do so here.
